Open Apps in Windows 10

Apps are programs that are downloaded from the Microsoft Store. Downloaded apps are easy to open and close from your desktop.

Open and Close an App

  1. Click the Start button.

    All your installed apps appear in an alphabetical list. Frequently used apps appear in the Most used list.Also, if the app was pinned, you can click the Live Tile to open it.

  2. Scroll through the list, or click an alphabet letter to browse apps that begin with that letter.

  4. Click the Close button to close the app.
