How to Merge Accounts in Salesforce

Merge Accounts

You can merge duplicate accounts, just like you can with leads and contacts.

Merge Accounts

  1. Click the Accounts tab.
  2. Click Merge Accounts in the Tools section.
    Merge Accounts
  3. Type the name of the duplicate account and click Find Accounts.
  4. Select the accounts you want to merge.
  5. Click Next.

  6. Select the master record and the fields from each record that you want to keep.
  7. Click Merge.

  8. Click OK.
    Merge Accounts

The selected accounts are merged into a single record.
