Follow in Chatter

You can follow people, records, and other things that interest you in Salesforce; anything you follow will appear in your Chatter feed.

Follow a Person

1. Click the Chatter tab.
2. Click the People heading.

   A list of other Salesforce users appears.

3. Click the Follow link for the person you want to follow.
   

Now anything posted by people you follow will appear in your Chatter feed.

Unfollow a Person

1. Click the X next to the person’s Following link.
   

You’ll want to be a little picky about how much you follow things in Chatter, so you don’t clutter your feed with a lot of updates you don’t need.

Follow a Salesforce Record

You can also follow records in Salesforce so you’ll be notified about any important updates made to them.

1. Find and open the record you want to follow.
   

   If Chatter is available for the record, you'll see a Show Feed icon near the top of the record.

2. Click Show Feed to display the record's Chatter feed.
   
3. Click Follow.
   

Now if any changes are made you'll be notified about it in your Chatter feed.

See What You're Following

You may occasionally want to take an inventory of how many feeds you follow and who follows you. This is all possible through the Chatter tab.

1. Click the Chatter tab.
2. Click your name.
   
3. Click the Overview tab.
4. Click Show All to view a complete list of your feeds.
   
5. Click the Filter By arrow to change views.
6. Click Done when you're finished.

A list of the filtered by field you are following appears.
