
Even after you've added some SmartArt to your presentation, you can always edit and format it to fit your needs.
Add Shapes and Bullets
- Select the SmartArt graphic you want to add content to.
- Click the SmartArt Tools Design tab.
- Click the Add Shape button.
- Click the arrow at the left edge of the SmartArt graphic.
- Click in the bullet field where you want to add text.
- Type the text you want to add to the graphic.
- Click the Add Bullet button.
- Type the text you want to add to the graphic.
- Press the Enter key to add additional bullet points.
- Click outside of the text pane to close it.
Reorder Bullets and Shapes
- Click in the shape or bullet you want to reorder.
- Click the SmartArt Tools Design tab.
- Click the Move Selection Up or Move Selection Down button.
Format SmartArt
PowerPoint has a variety of SmartArt layouts and styles that allow you to format your SmartArt graphics with the click of a button.
- Select the SmartArt graphic.
- Click the Change Colors button on the SmartArt Tools Design tab.
- Select a color from the menu.
- Click the More button for the SmartArt Styles gallery.
- Select a style.
Even though there are some pretty wild styles available, it's best to keep it simple.
