Create a Customer Refund

QuickBooks makes it easy for you to refund a customer's money if they're not satisfied with your products or services.

Create a Customer Refund

1. Click New.
2. Select Refund receipt.
   
3. Click the Customer dropdown and select the customer you want to refund.
   
4. Click the Payment method dropdown and select a payment method.
5. Click the Refund from dropdown and select the account you want to use to issue the refund.
   
6. Click the Product/Service column and select the product or service the customer returned.
   
7. Edit the line items, such as Qty and Rate.
8. Repeat steps 6-7 for any additional products/services.
9. Click the Save and new list arrow.
10. Select Save and close.
