How to Format Fonts in Access

It’s easy the change the fonts that are used in reports by bolding them, applying italics, or changing the typeface and color.

Change Font Type

  1. In Design View or Layout View, select the text that you want to change the font for.
  2. Click the Home tab.
  3. Click the Font Type list arrow and select a font.

Change Font Size

Font sizes are measured in points (pt.), which are 1/72 of an inch. The larger the number of points, the larger the font.

  1. In Design View or Layout View, select the text that you want to change the font size for.
  2. Click the Font Size list arrow and select a font.

    When you change a control's font size, you will often need to resize the control so that it can properly display its contents.

You can change your font style so that is appears in bold, italicized, or underlined text.

  1. In Design View or Layout View, select the text that you want to change the font style for.
  2. Click the Bold, Italics, or Underline button.

You can also change the font's color.

  1. In Design View or Layout View, select the text that you want to change the font color for.
  2. Click the Font Color list arrow and select a color.
